*****The St. Helens Community Track Festival has been Canceled*****

**Because of some recent news, the St. Helens School District is requiring me to provide a liability insurance for the St. Helens Community Track Festival. I have spoken with people of the school's, city parks and rec, county parks and rec, city commissioners, and the county chamber of commerce in support of the meet and no luck. A local insurance company is pricing the insurance that would only cover spectators to be $395 and frankly I do not have the money to put into something like this at such short of time. I do thank all the people that wanted to make this event happen, despite the bad news I will push forth my efforts in making this event even stronger and right now the only thing to do is plan and get ready for next year. This is a event that will become a tradition and allow people from all parts of the state and country to enjoy the same love we have for our community and Track and Field.**

St. Helens Community Track Festival will be hosted for athletes of all ages. All events are subject to change, with that depending on the amount of amount of entries, there may be a Pre-High School category of events added. All participants are welcome to come and enjoy the festivities. The St. Helens Community Track Festival is to help build and educated the community in and around St. Helens community about the history and heritage of one of the world oldest sports.

Cost of entry will be free. All participants are welcome to come and enjoy the festivities; there may be a Pre-High School category of events added depending on the amount of entries.

The St. Helens Community Track Festival will be hosted at St. Helens High School in St. Helens, OR. Approximately 30 miles north of Portland, on Highway 30.

*Events are subject to change. In order for an event to be added or remain in place there needs to be at least 3 entries for the event. Some Possible meets suggested have been a 4x800 and 4x200.

There will be no available concession stands at the stadium, but there is food and shopping within a very short walking distance, (Please keep track of your trash) anyone who is helping with the meet will be volunteering their time.
